FAQ

Why eye candy?

Eye Candy portraits grew out of the simple idea of having sexy, couture images to show your significant other & to knock his socks off. They turned into so much more – an expression of the sexy vixen buried deep within, a time to feel incredibly comfortable in your own skin, and letting your inner diva shine through a totally pampered experience. Many clients infuse their shoot with a glamorous, hi-fashion look and walk away with stunning images that they are proud to share with their family & friends.

Eye Candy portraits may not be for everyone, but they are anything but scary. While you are preparing for your shoot, we exchange more than witty banter; I get to know you and understand the types of images that you are looking for. We discuss how I shoot & how to get the most naturally alluring poses. I will completely guide you through the entire shoot – you are never left alone to stare awkwardly into the camera. Read that sentence again. It’s the most important one on this whole website!

How do I prepare for my session?

A list of pre-session preparation items can be found here.

How long does it take?

Mini-sessions are on hour in length, otherwise, sessions last between two to three hours. I begin by getting to know you & understanding what kind of images you are looking for, getting that glam makeup just right & talking about all of the great shoes you have brought with you.

How & when can I schedule an appointment?

Eye Candy portraits are shot on weekday afternoons and early evenings. There is also a limited amount of weekend sessions available. To schedule a session or consultation, email the studio or call 972.824.5519. Directions and preparation information are sent the week before the session in a confirmation email.

How should I arrive?

Come with a clean, moisturized face – makeup is included in all of our packages. If you are having your hair styled, it should be clean & product free. Please do not straighten your hair if you wish to have it curled for the session. Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes with a top that zips or buttons so you don’t have to pull it over your perfectly coiffed hair.

How long does it take to get the goods?

Images are ready for preview online within 2 weeks of your portrait session. They will be presented in a secure, password-protected online gallery.
Personal viewings are also available upon request.
Albums & other specialty products can take up to 2-3 weeks to create, print & bind. I highly recommend that you allot at least 4 weeks before the special occasion to receive your product in time.

Are images retouched?

Online images receive basic retouching – you will never see anything in the images that will make you self-conscious about your appearance. Any orders (prints, albums, and specialty products) will be further retouched before printing. Items that incur an additional retouch fee: severe tan lines, uneven/splotchy spray tans, sunburns, unwanted tattoos, and severe acne.

How many outfits should I bring?

Bring several outfits that you not only feel good – but great – in. To really give it a personal touch, you can bring one of his work shirts and ties or a favorite team jersey. Corsets are a great choice and look fantastic on everyone. I also suggest bringing several pairs of fun panties that we can pair up with the accessories that I have in the studio such as sexy sheets, masks and fur throws. You can find additional ideas here. I also have suggestions for places to shop for unique lingerie items.

Where do my images go?

You may opt to give me full, partial or no release of your images. Any images used on my blog or my website will be done so with your written a-ok and your name will not be used in any way.

What types of payment do you accept?

Cash, check (payable to Lynn Michelle Photography), & all major credit cards are accepted. A retainer and signed contract are required to secure the date for a session. The retainer secures the hair and/or makeup artist and studio space and is non-refundable. The remainder of the payment is due right before the session commences.

Anything else I should know?

All images are for the client’s personal use only. Lynn Michelle Photography does not create Eye Candy/boudoir images for commercial usage. This includes, but is not limited to, advertising or personal promotional materials via print or internet.

Heard any good excuses?

I am going shopping with my bridesmaids.
I went to the MAC counter and she INSISTED on doing my makeup.
Shhh. Just take me out to dinner.
